Rooted is full of useful content… if you can find it!
While the navigation and home page in Rooted are designed to quickly get you where you need to go, the search bar is also a useful tool if you want to find something quickly. Here are some quick tips for searching in Rooted:
Your search term will be highlighted in yellow in your search results. If you see results that do NOT include highlighted text, that means your terms are found farther down on the page (not in the 50 or so words displayed in the results). Use the titles of the pages to gauge what might be most relevant to you!
Once you’ve done a search, you can sort your results alphabetically or by date last edited. The latter can be especially helpful if you’re looking for something you know was added / changed recently!

You can also use the search filters on the righthand side of the search results page to further refine your results:
Use the open text box filter to enter an additional search term with which to refine your results. For example, if you searched for “benefits,” you might further refine your search using the term “health.”
Use the Category and Tag filters to narrow down your results by the department who posted the information, the type of page (e.g., Staff Announcement or How To), or the general topic covered (e.g., inclusion or financial wellness).
You can remove any of these filters by clicking the “x” by the filter name at the top of the page.
