Syncing Arborversity Events to Your Google Calendar
Tags: Arborversity
If you’ve taken the Welcome to Arborversity course, you know that you can see your in-person session dates and e-Learning course deadlines by looking at the calendar in your Dashboard. But wouldn’t it be useful to see your Arborversity events in your regular Google Calendar as well? This two-minute process will sync your Arborversity calendar to your Google calendar for all current and future Arborversity courses.
To add the Arborversity calendar to your Google calendar:
After logging into Arborversity, go to the Hamburger icon in the upper left corner of your screen and select “My Calendar.”
In the calendar screen that appears, go to the right side of the screen and in the blue banner click the button that says “Export.”
Click the Copy Link button.
4. Next, open your Google Calendar.
5.Go down to the “Other calendars” section on the left side of your screen and click the plus sign to reveal the other calendars menu.
6. Select “From URL,” then paste the Arborversity calendar link into the URL box.
7. Click “Add Calendar.”
It may take a few seconds (and it’s possible you’ll have to log out and log back in), but your Arborversity events will soon appear on your calendar alongside any other meetings you have. The two calendars are synced; any time you enroll in a course that has a deadline or date associated with it, it will appear in your Morton Arboretum Google calendar.
As with other calendars you may have added, you can view or hide the Arborversity calendar any time by clicking the colored square to the left of the calendar URL.
